Raise the profile of Carers

There are over 30,000 carers in the Tees Valley alone, yet less than 20% have come forward for support. The Carer’s Card gives you recognition – you count too!

Relevant, secure and up to date information

All of the information is held on two secure databases in different areas of the country. If there is an emergency or terrorist attack in one area, all of your information will remain safe and secure in the other!

Regular Contact

We will contact you regularly to make sure that the information we have is relevant and up to date. You also have the opportunity to inform us of any changes in your circumstances and the changes will be instantly recorded.

It links to Health and Social Care information systems

Each card contains your individual reference number from social services as well as your NHS number; therefore in an emergency, both the NHS and Social Services will be able to identify you and the person you care for at the touch of a button!
